Content Collection

Administrators have the option to make content collections user-editable. This allows end-users to edit and create their own data arrays for use in marketing materials. Why would one want this you might ask?

Bob is a realtor in Paducah. Bob works with other professionals (Steve) in the home realty market and often positions his marketing materials on behalf of himself and other realty partners. Bob can now add data for his marketing partners and these can be used on all types of marketing materials that support content collections (print, direct mail, email). So Bob can now add and edit the pre-defined content collection fields (defined by his platformadmin) to add Steve's contact information.

Bob can then send direct mail, print and email directly from the platform using his user profile information, Steve's contact information or a combination of both

.

Result!

In addition to the example of marketing partners, these user-editable content collections can be used for a wide range of data arrays:

  1. A collection of houses for sale represented by that user
  2. A series of webinars or events being hosted by that user
  3. Cars for sale or lease
  4. Franchisee or retail locations
  5. Employee or staff information

Images!

It is simple to add images to content collections!

  1. Images can now be dragged/dropped to the interface, or the user can browse to a file on their device
  2. Administrators preset the final size and aspect ratio of images added to the collection
  3. Users can then crop the image as desired and the platform will automatically re-size to the dictated dimensions upon save

Defined Field Types

When administrators define what fields to make available to users, you can dictate the type of data that can be input, as well as whether it is required information or not:

  1. Date: useful for event marketing, users are presented a pop-up calendar for selecting dates
  2. Drop Down: admin can define key | value pairs that the user can select to use, for example
  3. Image: admin can define final dimensions, aspect ratio, width and/or height restrictions
  4. Multi-line Text: small blocks of text that allow users to add line breaks, but no formatting
  5. Single Line Text:  Most useful when the collection is only used for print fulfillment for text-only data arrays such as event information or marketing partners.
  6. Plain-text and HTML:  a combination of both plain text and html for content collections that will be used for both print fulfillment and email marketing

Administrative Functionality

In addition to making content collections available to users there are a number of administrative functions:

  1. Default data set (now called 'items') can be added by the administrator and shared/permissioned to users to utilize. This is especially helpful when 'none' is an acceptable selection or a fallback position is desired by the administrator
  2. Fields can be required
  3. Fields can now be sorted for optimum and logical display to users
  4. Default 'items' can now be sorted for logical display to users
