Creating a Custom Digital Asset

Instances of the Distributed Marketing Platform (DMP) may look different. The instructions below are for the easiest case scenario for creating and ordering a digital asset. There are other options, simple and advanced, that may be covered by other articles.

  1. Click on Menu

  2. Then an option for the Marketing Asset Manager (MAM)

There may be a button on the homepage of the DMP if menu options are different or unavailable. The MAM is also referred to as the Marketing Library.

The Marketing Asset Manager will be presented. Typically, a digital order is going to consist of a PDF. It is possible to use the search field to find a specific asset. If a user needs to browse through the marketing library, it is best to use the filters on the pane on the left-side of the page.




To find all assets that can be digitally ordered:

  1. Select to option for “PDF Document” under the “Type” drop-down

  2. Check the “Email/Digitally” option

  3. Select the “Marketing Library” category unless a saved PDF is desired under the “My Stuff” category

Feel free to use the “Sort by” drop-down to make searching easier. If the “Modified: Descending” option is selected, the most recent items created or added will be displayed at the top of the list.

Sometimes it may be easier to find assets by name. If this is the case click on the icon to view items in a text list as opposed to viewing thumbnails.

When an asset is selected in the MAM, many details will be listed to tell the user more about the item. These details can include:

  • Price Per Unit - Price for print fulfillment

  • Price Per Download - Price for download from the DMP

  • Asset Type - File type (Image, PDF, PowerPoint, etc)

  • Content Type - Flyer, Brochure, Image

  • Support - Asset administration contacts

  • Approval Requirements

  • Customization Status


When the desired template is found, click on the item and click on the “Customize” or one of the options to begin the process of sending an email.

Customize

The “Customize” page is where users will edit templates to be unique and specialized communications to contacts. There is a wealth of features and options available for this step. Below, we illustrate a simple selection of a text based on a area of the business.




  1. Buttons to navigate pages of the asset item

  2. Drop-down to select a customization of the asset

  3. Click on “View PDF” to see a preview of the with its customizations

  4. Save the customization to review later or click on “Digital Download” to order the asset

Click on the “Digital Download” button to continue.

After clicking on the “Digtial Download” button the cart will be presented.



  1. Items in the cart

  2. Option to Preview, customize further, duplicate or remove the order

  3. Option to close or empty the cart, reload a saved cart or save the current cart and the option to checkout.

Click on the “Checkout” button

The Fulfillment Checkout Confirmation page will be displayed.


From the checkout page the collateral is made available in a few areas:


  1. Download all files”Link to download all collateral files

  2. Link to download all collateral files

  3. Options:

    1. “Send via Email Marketing” Allows the use of an email template to deliver the assets

    2. “Preview” An option to review the collateral

    3. “Downloading Collateral” An option to download the collateral

Once the collateral has been downloaded click on “Back to the Marketing Asset Manager” button. The collateral can be reviewed again by going to the menu option “View Orders” under “Fulfillment Center” if available.
