The platform has multiple ways to import and update user information in a more automated way. This is done using the available API calls or Feed (File Drop) options.  These are available for your IT staff to utilize so you can send and update user data from your internal systems as needed.

User Update API

Create or update user profile based on user email address.

• How it works: Using an API call, send user data over based on the users email address and update any number of profile data points.  This API will accept XML or JSON format payloads. For more specific instructions, visit the configuration page within your platform by going to Administration > DMP Configuration Center > Integration Manager > API Reference. Then on the left, under the API section, click on User > Update.  For additional information and examples on how this works, contact your Distribion account manger.

Import User Details (feed) 

Drop CSV files of user data for processing

• How it works: This User Import integration interface allows clients to drop a list of users as a Comma Separated Version (CSV) file to the system's FTP folder path. The platform will pick up dropped files every hour and process them. For more specific instructions, visit the configuration page within your platform by going to Administration > DMP Configuration Center > Integration Manager > API Reference.
